I just loaded Avast and installed Parallels on a new Mac. I created a new Windows 7 VM from scratch. I took a snapshot and immediately was notified by Avast that there was a virus found:
File - /Windows 7.pvm/Snapshots/{fbac51cf-ad6e-4518-a252-36c006736fe9}.mem
Virus - Win32:Patched-HO [Trj]
Should I exclude my VM directory from realtime scans?
Thanks!

Hi,
You should submit that file as it seems to be FP.

The file is over 300 MB so I can’t really upload it for analysis.

You can use our ftp://ftp.avast.com/incoming/ but I am affraid that this type of files has no structure – it’s only memory dump.
