False Positive Website

Hi, we are currently facing an issue where a payment website is being flagged as malicious. Kindly help to whitelist the URL globally. We have already submit a false positive ticket to Avast via (avastdotcom/submit-a-sample#pc) on 18th March 2026 but nothing changes until now. This has caused limitation to the business and require urgent action from Avast Threat Lab/Engineering.

First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.

In the More Options list you can report as a possible False Positive.

Or report here - New location to report both a False Positive and or a False Negative (for File or URL) - Choose Your Sample Submission Type | Avast - You won’t get a direct response but it should be analysed within 48 hours, if found to be false it will be removed.

There are sites that can also check a site link.

Thank you @DavidR for the recommendation. As stated before, I have done what needs to be done on my end but there seems no changes at all. We are still unable to access the site unless we disabled Avast or whitelist the site. I really hope that Avast support team can reach out to me and take action to resolve this issue once and for all. Anyway, we will continue and wait the site to be whitelisted after the false positive submission.

If you post the link to the VirusTotal link to the results that will go some way to trying to resolve it. You may need edit the URL as you have with the (avastdotcom/submit-a-sample~pc).

Ordinarily Avast would do a remote analysis of the site, which may just confirm the original detection (as there is no direct reply you won’t know that).

If the VirusTotal scan results are very low, I can try to attract some Avast Team attention to the issue. But I really need something before I to try to get the virus labs team to do a manual scan.

@DavidR Please refer to the VirusTotal result. I hope that you can have their attention to this matter. I really appreciate the effort. It would be better if they can personally reply to this thread or my ticket submission (email reference: ref:!00D1I02Lqld.!500Po01cnRtZ:ref)

I have now requested some Avast Team input on this.
Avast doesn’t reply directly to email submissions, but rescans the site automatically, but on occasion requires manual intervention.

This is what I try to do and I give a reference to the (this) topic.

Hello @rafiffadli,

Thank you for raising this!

The reported URL was manually checked, and based on the findings, the detection was removed. The website is now marked as clean in the Avast virus database. This change may take up to 1 hour to take full effect. Please accept my apology for the inconvenience caused.

If the detection persists after 1 hour, please update the Avast virus database and try again.

Thank you.

@DavidR Thank you for the highlight!
