False positive - what can we do?

Hello,

Our website (alchymiezeny[.]cz) is currently blocked by Avast Web Shield. There were some issues earlier (mixed content, missing http→https redirect,…), but those have been fixed for a few weeks now. We have also completely scanned the whole website, source files, uploads, database, checked file checksums, etc. Everything is OK.

I have reported a false positive twice, but there has still been no response. This situation is very harmful to our business. Avast is quite popular in our country. What can we do?

We would be very grateful for any help.

Thank you.

Best regards,
Tomas

First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.

You won’t get a direct response, but it should be analysed within 48 hours, if found to be false it will be removed.

There are sites that can also check a site link.

A check on VirusTotal for the site given returns 3/92 hits (1 Malicious/2 Suspect), though there are many unrated hits.

I will try and draw some Avast Team input into this matter.

Hello @user8085,

Thank you for raising this!

The reported domain was checked, and based on the findings, the detection was removed. The website is now marked as clean in the Avast database. This change may take up to 1 hour to take full effect. Please accept my apology for the inconvenience caused.

If the situation persists after 1 hour, please update the Avast virus database and try again.

Thank you, @DavidR, for highlighting this topic.
