soundman.exe is a installed with Sound cards made by Realtek. This process merely places an icon on the system tray for easy access to diagnostic features. This program is a non-essential process, but should not be terminated unless suspected to be causing problems.The soundman.exe process puts an icon in the system tray. This icon gives you quick access to some of the features of the Audio sound manager software that was installed with your soundcard drivers. If you do not use the system tray icon it is safe to stop this process.

lol I thought it was in the beta section, and reporting a false positive being particularly advised for the beta. Anyway, it’s supposed to be done as well in stable, so why not submit it too :wink:

This has I believe been acknowledged as an FP (try a forum search for the file name), which will be corrected in an upcomming VPS update.
