I’m not sure I’m in the right topic, but I don’t see any other that looks related to my issue.
I’m developper but some of my applications are detected as malwares, even though they’re safe. Only a few application are detected as malware, and I don’t see the difference between these applications and the others. Moreover as far as I could see until now, Avast is the only antivirus that detected our applications as malwares.
I would like to know if there is something like a documentation or any advises to implement my software so that my applications are not detected as dangerous by Avast.
Thanks for your answer, I think they’re detected as PUP. The fact is that my software is proprietary, and I just don’t want to send it per mail this way…
My concern is not to make my current application not detected as PUP, but more to learn what are the reason why they’re detected this way, and what practices I should adopt to prevent my current and future applications to be detected this way.
Most PUP detections are caused by software that gathers/sends (personal) information.
Often without the user knowing/realizing it.
If you want avast to have a look at it, you will need to use the contact form and send them the application(s).
