False Positives bug

Hi!
I need to report a big bug in avast 8. Here’s the situation:
Every time I make a winrar sfx archive and add an icon to it, avast “detects” it as a “suspicious element”. No matter what is in the archive or the icon I use, ALL get flagged as virus. I have reported this several times via the “report false positive” option and the devs have done nothing about this. This has been going on for weeks…
That’s why I’m reporting here.

Moreover, if I Scan the file via right click->analyze, avast doesn’t detect anything. But it “detects” it when I’m creating the file, copying, running it, etc.
I Reeeeeally hope this can get sorted out, it’s becoming increasingly annoying.

thanks.

report it here http://www.avast.com/contact-form.php
you may add a link to this topic in case they reply here

Adding to this post, I have finally gotten tired of Avast flagging my SFX files as suspicious files and deleting them. Its the same issue as the previous poster. It used to only flag certain archives with an msi script which I can understand and tolerate, now everything is flagged. I use these archives to fix computers and update them. Now it seems that I have to disable Avast before plugging in my drive. Is Avast working on this? It doesn’t seem like it.
