False Positives Galore

Hi! I’m a game designer for a small indie game team, and we’re having some major issues developing around avast currently. Since avast’s last update, just about any change we make to our game sets off avast with a false positive. We spent a whole 9 hours trying to figure out what exactly was causing it, to no avail.
We use C# with Xamarin Studio, and have only had false positive issues with avast once before during development. But now we’re finding it impossible to advance at all without setting it off.

Any and all help is much appreciated. We’re pressed to meet deadlines, and this has definitely got us worried.

You can report a suspected FP here: https://www.avast.com/false-positive-file-form.php

I feel I should ask, what good would this actually do? Our game isn’t finished, and so there’s a lot that’s going to change and be added, and we don’t feel comfortable sharing our source code, so what would sharing the executable in question actually do?

If you don’t want to submit it (yet), exclude your dev folders.
