False positives in memory scanning

I still have being seen a ‘memory’ problem into avast sessions.
Using the command: “C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashQuick.exe” “*MEMORY” I got others…

What can I do? Which is the other program that is loading non-encrypted signatures on the memory?

I thought you or someone else had identified this as MS Defender or OneCare issue loading signatures into memory to speed detection/scanning. Do you still use defender ?

What do the process IDs show in either Task Manager or Process Explorer ?

It’s not enabled, I mean, no resident on-access protection. If you can call it protection :stuck_out_tongue:

Good point… I’ve missed the obvious :-[

Even though resident protection may be disabled, it may load services (I know other programs that did the same) and perhaps that loads signatures.

It is often the obvious that gets over looked, process explorer may well be more helpful.
