False Positives

After I installed updates today, Avast web shield is falsely identifying some .png images as viruses and eliminating them. I know these are not viruses as I created them myself with paintshop. I had to turn off web shield to get the page to load properly.

WebShield just blocks the connection, not delete or eliminate files.

Can you send the samples to virus@avast.com ?
You can zip and password the files… Inform a link to this thread and the password used.
You can send the files to Chest and, from there, resend to Alwil for analysis.

we need to know the name(s) of viruses found on your png’s and have some sample of the wrongly detected images, if possible… follow Tech’s instructions, thx…
