hello there,

I try avast pro version…cause it is a big programm with a lot of features!

So I did a scan after install…

I got false/postives in series! >:(

In panda quickremover, in the game Anno1503, and the scan is not over this moment…

where can I send this files for correctur?

If by Panda Quick Remover you mean the Panda on=line scanner, it doesn’t encrypt its virus signature files and these are detected.

What is the infected file name, where was it found e.g. (C:\windows\system32\infected-file-name.xxx) ?

If you are getting a virus warning that you believe is a false positive, then if you can zip and password protect (‘virus’, will do) the suspect file and send it to virus @ avast.com (no spaces), or send from the chest (after adding it to the User Files section of the chest).

Give a brief outline of the problem (possibly a link to this thread), the fact that you believe it to be a false positive and include the password in the body of the email. Some info on the avast version and VPS number (see about avast {right click avast icon}) will also help.

You could also check the offending/suspect file at: VirusTotal - Multi engine on-line virus scanner
Or Jotti - Multi engine on-line virus scanner if any other scanners here detect them it is less likely to be a false positive. You can’t do this with the file in the chest, you will need to move it out.

it is the pavcl.com from panda quick remover using any time ago…avast announce a W32/NIMDA!

and there is the game ANNO1503, the file calls Annosplash.exe and there avast announce a W32/Small WE (Trj).

I know this are false positves…I used mc afee the years before, and this are my first alerts!!

I see a number of hits for annosplash.exe in google also so it may be worth a confirmation scan at virustotal and or jotti for peace of mind.

okey…it’s not so bad… I do not use the remover so much… and when…I can disable avast…

but now I got the next alert.

when I scan the folder quickremover I get the alert there is: Win32:NGVCK-E in it!

Damn… I think Avast do not Like Panda really!

The file annosplash was send any minutes ago!

Hope for better signatures!

It will find the signatures one by one as when it finds a signature it will alert you to the problem an wait for your input and it is likely to find the next unencrypted virus signature. It isn’t only avast other AVs also detect the unencrypted signatures, if only panda did what most good AVs did, encrypt the signatures thee wouldn’t be a problem.

okey…doesn’t matter about panda… I’ll look for an option to give the panda remover software to the files what are not to scan for avast. Is there a funktion?

Can you rephrase? Do you want an avast option to ignore panda detections or, on contrary, you want to remove all panda files from your computer?

ya, I want an avast option to ignore panda detections … and maybe for all files in future…what are can be false/positives…

but I think thats all…the scan is over !

So, for the Standard Shield provider (on-access scanning):
Left click the ‘a’ blue icon, click on the provider icon at left and then Customize.
Go to Advanced tab and click on Add button…

For the other providers (on-demmand scanning):
Right click the ‘a’ blue icon, click Program Settings.
Go to Exclusions tab and click on Add button…

You can use wildcards like * and ?.
But be carefull, you should ‘exclude’ that many files that let your system in danger.

well… there is just ONE! programm I knew that trouble with Panda, it is Antivir! If it still does trouble…I do not know… I heard much about it!

okey…avast is on my pc, and it is a pleasure to work with it!
