False warning from free Avast WebShield

Hello!

I am tired of receiving 1000++ false warnings by day by webshield. The alleged “harmful webpage” is located on homecookedgadgets.com, and it comes from one of my installed “gadgets” that does not do anything special.

How is that possible to stop this stupid false warning? I am seriously thinking to stop using Avast, I tried Drweb and Kaspersky, none of them are so stupid to warn thousands of times for nothing.

Thanks

  1. false positives and malware problems should be posted in viruses and worms forum section
  2. The stupid URL:Mal warning means the url on the popup is blacklisted for whatever reason

We have found in our database of already analyzed websites that there are 369 websites hosted in the same web server with IP address 103.224.182.243 and IP hostname lb-182-243.above.com. Remember that it is not good to have too many websites located in the same web server because if a website gets infected by malware, it can easily affect the online reputation of the IP address and also of all the other websites.

Hi,
This domain really shares IP with many many malicious sites, which might have been the reason for blocking it a month ago.
I now unblocked it, it seems like a false positive
Honza

Bad practise to use the main domain name for a redirect only.

The warning from avast was not false.
There is a very good reason to block that IP.
