I’m using FAT32 file system and I wanna change it to NTFS w/o losing the data I have on my HDD. Is this possible? ???
Good info here:

Uninstall avast before converting and install it again after.
Or, at least, you’ll need to add the key again after converting.
I also suggest that you defrag your disk before converting. NTFS reserves space for MFT (Master File Table) and it’s good if it could get a contiguous space.
I would ask the question why do you want to do this ?
There are advantages and disadvantages to converting to NTFS.
I still use FAT32 on both my hard disks and I’m in no rush to convert to NTFS, even though my partitioning software PartitionMagic can convert without data loss.
I will use the Windows converter itself… nothing better that let this to Microsoft itself… imho.
I trust MS about as far as I could throw bill gates. I have never used the MS Converter, but I have used PartitionMagic many, many times form early versions to PM 8.0 and never had a problem with its partitioning with regard to data loss.
