Opera 10.62 = the web site is up in 2 sec and fully loaded in about 15 sec
IE8 = the web site is up in 4 sec and fully loaded in about 10 sec
okay, thanks for the feedback, that’s also what I got, sometimes a bit longer. Expecting more people to post their results here 
ps: yeah, they’re saying I’m the only one to complain about the forum sluggishness there ;D

For me it will not load in Chrome at all. With IE8 it works but the forum is a bit slow, takes a few seconds to load pages. The pages are loading much faster than the last time i visited them though. Like i said, right now it takes about 6-7 seconds to completely load the pages.
Oh yes i forgot to add, i am on a DSL 8/2 Mbit line.
okay thanks for posting m416 for me the only way out is to use Opera, where it’s in fact slow as hell too, but fast again as soon as “Turbo” is activated.

Using Chrome and access is almost instantaneous. ???
I tried it with FF and I’m crawling. I decided to pay bills while waiting for pages to load. 
Being on dial-up, I did not expect such fast results as those above but, using Opera 10.62 with Turbo on, the page opened in 5 seconds and fully loaded in 10 seconds. This seems fairly fast considering I have never been to the page before.
I am using Firefox 3.6.8, and it is almost immediate. I click on a topic and the page loads within 1 second. This is with timewarner Basic Cable at 1.5 MB
download. IE 8 is about the same.

what version of Chrome ??? …because even people there, @ Miranda, admit that they can’t open the site in Chrome at all…
yeah as said it works fine with Opera + “turbo” on…it’s bound to be fast this way, as all data will be rerouted to an Opera proxy first, compressed, and then transmitted to the browser.

you probably mean 7.0.517.5 …we got the same version then…don’t know why it’s not working here (this site in Chrome)+ m416 can’t launch it either in Chrome.

I’m a relative “Newbie” but I would like to add my thoughts on this topic.
I have been using Google Chrome(currently vers.6.0.472.59) for the past six months now with absolutely no problems
It’s very fast, certainly more so than Opera 10.61 apart from when rebooting and I like the fact that each tab is
run in a sandbox and lastly, I like the relatively simple interface.
Best advice Logos, is try them all and see decide which browser suits you, I couldn’t get on with Opera but Chrome
worked for me.

hmm… this thread is not about browsers, but about a particular web site having issues in some browsers ;D
ps: Chrome is my default browser, and has been for a while, running 7.0.517.5 currently
FF…about 7 seconds to come up and a bit longer to completely load.
Also using FF.
Takes me 8 seconds to load the whole website.
By the way I’m using FF 3.6.10 and 21mbps mobile broadband!
