Few bugs and improvements on AEA

Hello,

A customer gave us some feedback on the AEA console today (He’s using AEA on a workgroup for 300+ clients, I know it will be better with a domain, but he don’t have the choice) :

  • There is a bug on the “on access scan” columns, the “time/hour” (I don’t know the English localization, I’m using the French localization) column doesn’t appear. In fact, the hour column is here, but under the “Operation” column (see the attached files)
  • The server-side task for generating reports is always in “waiting” state, even refeshing the status page does nothing. He has to close and reopen the AEA console to close the task.
  • The customer ask if it’s possible to “auto mark as clean” the clean clients, because he has to do it himself (and with 300+ clients it can be annoying…).
  • He ask if a specific report can be generated indicating the state clients (infected/clean). Only the number of infections/threats detected per clients is shown, he would like something like :
Groupe Nom de l'ordinateur Dernière infection Nombre d'infections State
\ PC173 06/02/2014 10:31:48 14 Clean

We also had a discussion about the “infected” state, because the client is not “infected”, but it has detected and/or blocked a threat/attack. So the state is “infected” despite the client being clean.
Can it be possible to mark the client as “clean” with an alert/column for the last blocked threat ?

Hi Kinder,

You amy want to submit a support request on the bug for the “on access scan” and reporting bug. It sounds like you may be a reseller, and if so can use the reseller support portal. Otherwise use the normal support.avast.com site.

Regarding the Mark as Clean, currently I am unaware of a way to do this automatically. Its designed to stay marked so that you can take additional action if needed, such as running a more in-depth scan. For reports, you can run a report on machines which have had a recent infection, which would mean they are marked as such but there is no specific report for which clients have this flag set.
