since installing FF 3.5.7, I keep receiving the attached message from almost every page I visit and it’s becoming very annoying. :-
is there a way to stop this feature in FF?

I am pretty sure that option can be found here:
Tools → Options → ‘Advanced’ tab → ‘General’ tab → Uncheck ‘Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page’
It can be annoying, but I personally like to know what is going on when a site loads…
