FF tab opens going to lpcloudsvr302.com uncommanded.

how long should soek take to run? Its been running now for 2 hours.

posted from my phone.

Scan time should not take more that 10 minutes. Feel free to restart your computer manualy. Post here zoek-resultst.txt log and runcheck.txt log. Both log should be located in C:\

Zoek was still running 23 hours later, until I saw your last post and rebooted my computer. It appears to have stalled after the “FF” entry.

Reset Firefox back to defaults settings:

Tell me, any improvements?

I have not reset FF yet. The uncommanded tab openings have stopped. I’ve let the browser run for a long time now and it’s still good.

What was it?

What should I run on my computer to keep it clean?

Hi Jeff,

Some browser extension has done it’s bad magic. Feel free to reset Firefox to Defaults, that is always good step. But however you want …

I shall remove used tools now.
The following will implement some post-cleanup procedures:

=> Please download DelFix by Xplode to your Desktop.

Run the tool and check the following boxes below;

Remove disinfection tools

Create registry backup

Purge System Restore
Click Run button and wait a few seconds for the programme completes his work.
At this point all the tools we used here should be gone. Tool will create an report for you (C:DelFix.txt)

The tool will also record healthy state of registry and make a backup using ERUNT program in %windir%\ERUNT\DelFix
Tool deletes old system restore points and create a fresh system restore point after cleaning.

Thanks,

What should I run on my computer to keep it clean?

I have Avast free… Comodo firewall free… what else should I have for good protection?

ETA: I had another tab open by itself (http://seth.avazutracking.net… ) which is different from the one that we got rid of. I went ahead and reset Firefox. We’ll see what happens. This time FF stopped the redirect. MBAM and MCS didn’t.
