Fidelity Active Trader Connection Problem

New avast release seems to be blocking my access to Fidelity active trader application.

When I disable avast, the Fidelity works fine, but when avast runs, my streaming connection slows, and eventually stops altogether…

Anybody else seeing this problem?

Thanks.

By turning off web scanning this problem is fixed.

You can add the site to the exclusion list.

I had the same problem and here is the list of ignored address settings so far:

http://activequote.fidelity.com/, http://streamingd413a.fidelity.com/, http://streaming.fidelity.com/, http://155.199.10.206, http://155.199.10.206/, http://155.199.134.221/*

I say so far because as far as I can tell the ignored address does not support wildcards in the ip address like “http://155.199.*” Fidelity uses different IP addresses for different servers so you may need to start up ActiveTrader Pro and watch the Last scanned field after clicking on the blue ball icon or temporarily turn on “show detailed info on performed action” under customized advanced tab.

Also I am not positive but it seems that these addresses need to be in the URL’s to exclude section as well.

Good luck and please post any findings.
Please share any of you findings.

After further testing, it seems that the ip address wildcard “http://155.199.*” may be working, so replace the other IP addresses with this one.
