Disable System Restore and reenable it after step 3.
Clean your temporary files.
Schedule a boot time scanning with avast with archive scanning turned on.
Use AVG Antispyware; SUPERantispyware and/or Spyware Terminator to scan for spywares and trojans. If any infection is detected, better and safer is send the file to Quarantine than to simple delete than.
I have a problem with CCleaner right now though. I can’t run, open, or uninstall CCleaner. The logo for it vanished. And I cannot delete any files; even the .exe to install it.
I’m going to enable System Restore and get one of those scanners shown.
Thanks.
EDIT: Oh, and Avast didn’t pick up anything. I have WINDOWS folders shown, aswell.
