Hi! When I install Avast Free 2016 11.1.2241 the file explorer opens slow from taskbar, on the contrary when I uninstall cleanly the antivirus the problem disappears. On the other hand it also causes random crashes of the file explorer.
Event viewer: Application Hang -1002 Explorer.exe.
Is this normal?
My system is Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bits.

Sorry it isn’t something that I have experienced on either XP Pro SP3 or my win7 SP1 netbook.
What did you have installed before you installed Avast Free 2016 11.1.2241 ?
What other security based software do you have installed (anti-malware, firewall, etc.) ?
