I’ve been realising recently that my FSS is showing no data in the “Realtime Data” tab. This is happening frequently and I was wondering if anyone else has this issue. The same issue effects the Mail shield however, both stats update on the Historical Data tab.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Having the exact same problem except with mine it’s just the mail shield. I started a thread on this topic earlier and there are some other folks here who are having the same problems. Here is the link to the thread topic if you would like to check it out.
So no one else is experiencing this on the File Shield?
I would like to know how I can tell if the shields found malware. In version 8 I was able to take a quick glance across all of the scanners and it would show files scanned/infected…they would also all show as green if nothing was found…infected - 0. This new interface is a mess. Where does it show besides a popup if something was picked up? Also, where do I view the scan logs?
Edit: I just checked the component status screen, that answered some questions.
I still can’t find logs.
Maybe the file shield is using some form of cache and this is why it doesnt show on the stats screen.Personally ive not had any issues.
In the navigator screen select Historical data and then select the shield
Yup, I’m aware it works there. It works there for the Mail Shield too. However, on the main stats page neither that or the Mail shield have any data.
The main page is real time data so if nothing is happening then nothing will be seen
I installed Photoshop yesterday and during that time I could see it scanning files in the “Last 5 items scanned”. They were .dll files etc. The FS was not updating real time data however on the historical data on that particular time… it was scanning.
Hmm weird I think is the word for that … Mayhap a repair to see if that kick starts it
Yup, It is. I’ll try a repair later today and will reply if it fixes the issue.
It looks like it may be just a display bug
It is showing emails in the last scanned items section and it does show up in history as having the emails scanned (in my case 6), but the bar does not say it scanned any emails today.
Also the file shield bar sometimes has a number of scanned objects listed and sometimes it does not, but it still shows items being scanned in last scanned items and in history.
They are really just minor things as long as the shields are actually working.
Hopefully this will be addressed but it is unusual, mine is working as planned
Well, after the repair it still isn’t working. I suppose it’s a minor bug with the display after all. Will be nice to see it fixed in the future releases.
