I used to be able to upload/download files to my server using FileZilla but now I can’t. I ran the network/router wizard on FileZilla and it couldn’t even connect to the test page. I changed the setting on my windows 7 firewall to allow filezilla.exe but that didn’t seem to make any difference either.
Any ideas if Avast is blocking FileZilla?

Any other security (related) software installed ? (or was there)
What is the message/error that FileZilla (or your server) is giving you ?

Message from FileZilla: “Can’t connect to the server”
I contacted the server admin and they ran some tests and everything is okay on their end. They suggested that it’s probably being blocked somehow and that I might try an earlier version of FileZilla.
Can you connect to ftp.adobe.com?
no.
Filezilla 3.14.1 is able to connect to ftp.adobe.com for me. I have Filezilla set to use passive mode. I think this proves that Avast is not the issue.
I tried Filezilla’s network wizard, and it doesn’t complete a connection, instead trying to connect to my home router. It seems that Filezilla has flubbed this latest release.
