Just FYI, I have this problem too. The game involved is Demise (a hack-‘n’-slash dungeon crawl), and the file is demise.dll. I’ve had NAV on my system for a number of years, and no problem indicated with this file. When I look at the virus information in Avast, it states only that it is an EXE-infecting virus - no description of the virus and its effects is available. A Google search finds only a) a post on the Demise message boards about this Avast alert, and b) various links to the page on this site that lists the assorted viruses according to (I presume) virus signature release date - the one for this Trojan Horse virus was the 27-10-2004 release.

As suggested, I will send this to Avast tech support, suggesting that this may be a false positive; however, I would also like to see a bit more description of the various virus types, i.e. the sort of damage that they do, in the information files available within the program.

(Note: tried to upload the file to the scanner at Jotti, but my firewall prevented it from being passed on)
