How does it work?
Finjan SecureBrowsing is a security extension for your browser that scans and classifies web addresses to provide you with safety rating of URLs before you visit them. Proactively alerting you to potentially malicious web addresses in links of search results, ads and other selected web pages, SecureBrowsing protects you from webpages that could be used to compromise your privacy and identity.
SiteAdvisor, Scandoo, etc. etc.
Nowadays seems that everybody wants to release a browser tool for scanning :
I’ll stay with SiteAdvisor, at least, McAfee promissed to take it seriously, although I have personal experience of some biased info gave by SiteAdvisor.
But Bob, do they really detect different things? How the screen of a search (Google) for instance will be shown with ‘both’ tools trying to scan and say what is good and what is bad?
More on the finjan email link check
SiteAdvisor doesn’t check those links at all.
Since finjan allows scanning inside of gmail webbase e-mails, it should work for
any other web based email…
Update:
It works inside of Yahoo email and,
Hotmail live.
