Fire Fox Release Terminology

According to this wiki link:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_release_life_cycle#Alpha

the software development and release stages are:
-Pre-alpha
-Alpha
-Beta
-Release candidate (RC)
-Release to manufacturing" or “release to marketing” (RTM)
-General availability or general acceptance (GA)

I sugest they should add the following sub-categories/steps to the Release candidate;
-Alpha release candidate (ARC)
-Beta release candidate (BRC)

Seems more understandable than release candidate candidate (RCC) ???

My two cents. ;D

Well, don’t you think you should suggest that to the FF devs…??? :wink:
asyn

Mozilla team has more than one thing to confuse users!

Their version numbering system, their software cycle, their delay to publish new version to official home page and and and…

Alpha alpha beta beta RC 1.000.000.0123456 ;D

Well, suggesting this to FF would have as great an impact as a water drop in the ocean.

That said, my post was in reply to Logos’ comment on Omid’s post in the Update Thread. I didn’t want to go off topic in the Thread so I opened a new one instead.

Priceless. ;D

P.S.
@Omid Great work in the Update Thread :wink:

… and Mozilla became a failure.

Thank you ::slight_smile:
