Firefox 3.0 update or re-install?

Dear Avast forum users and gurus,

Is it better to uninstall Firefox 2.0.0.14 and freshly install Firefox 3.0 on June 17 or is a normal update sufficient?

I’ve never had a problem with updating Firefox, it’s a great and really stable browser, however I am unsure if a normal update is still recommended for the new version. Specifically because it is not an incremental update, rather a completely new version.

I think it would be wise of you to simply wait and see if other people find updates O.K. by checking Mozilla communities such as MozillaZine boards after the release. Alternatively, you can “install” Firefox Portable.

I think normal update will be enough… but, if you have problems with the extensions, maybe you’ll found a good solution to install from the scratch.
