FIREFOX 3

It seems zippier to me than FF2 and at least it works with the BBC Radio Player (which early betas did not).

It appears that the back arrow is missing in the new FF version.
I see a function to reload the current page but nothing to reload the previous page ???

Any easy fixes besides using the back option when using the right click function???

Does this link help?

The back arrow was there on mine using the default firefox theme (ugly as sin), which I have now replaced with Aeon Clouds which I think is a great theme.

Thanks.

I am wondering about the best way to install the new ff3.

Should i uninstall v.2 first and then install 3?

Or, if i install 3 over 2, will it replace 2 or will i end up with both 2 and 3?

Thanks for the help.

How to Install Firefox 3 Over Firefox 2

Wow all that to avoid loosing some add-ons that aren’t compatible with FF 3.0, the main add-ons that are security related work with 3.0 like NoSxcript, BetterPrivacy, Steather, WOT, JavaScript Options (or have updates available).

So I suggest you update your add-ons whilst still using 2.0 so you are as ready as possible , plus many more and that figure will get bigger now FF 3.0 is at the final release version.

I Just downloaded the FF 3.0 setup and closed FF and ran the installation file and no problems, yes some add-ons didn’t work but nothing absolutely essential. I checked regularly for updates to the add-ons and regularly there were updates. I still have some that aren’t compatible but I don’t think it is worthwhile waiting.

You can also ‘force’ the installation using:
