Hi all,
Quick question if you pls - I am running Windows 7 SP1 Home Edition x64 on a Toshiba Laptop w/4 GB RAM.
I have Firefox (FF), 40.0.3 installed along with Avast 10.3.2225 free edition.
In using FF I get a warning that says:
Avast Online Security could not be verified for use in Firefox. Proceed with caution.
Avast Online Security 10.2.0.187
Avast Browser Security and Web Reputation Plugin. Offering protection against known phishing and malware sites, improving your browsing overall browsing experience with crowd sourced web reputation rating.

This msg shows up under FF Add-ons, Extensions!
What should I do regarding it?
Thank you Very much!!
Sincerely,
CP

Currently there is nothing that you can do, the avast browser security (AOS) isn’t a signed add-on, so it is flagged as such, but it should still work. Mine does on my other system win7 and FF 40.0.3.
Avast are trying to have this add-on signed and hopefully so before FF 41.0 or 42.0 when firefox will be disabling and preventing unsigned add-ons from running or being installed.
That is going to cause merry hell with old and abandoned add-ons that many use including myself.

You’re welcome.
Some news on that front, Mozilla have now relented in the cut off of unsigned add-ons for FF 42.0. I think that the alpha and nightly build testers must have been up in arms.
