Firefox extension pack eases the pain of re-installing Firefox!

Hi malware fighters,

I hear here of stories of people that have to reinstall FF and find it a pain to get it up back with all their favourite extensions and settings. Read here to mass install Firefox:

Enjoy,

I will love it but…

Mass Installer 0.3.1 [discontinued]
Seems out of date...

It’s been discontinued.
I’ve used MozBackup to make restoring my settings, add-ons etc easier.
It’s worked well for me in both Win. XP and Vista.

There is also the FEBE extension.

Yeah, good tool. I manually copy all the profile files too.

Try to restore… you can be surprised… for me, not reliable.

The article appears to have been posted 4/5/07. A little outdated, but a good idea. A Firefox pack of extensions in available in the repositories on Ubuntu too. Unfortunately, I don’t use many of them, so I just manually add when I do a fresh install (my personal choice when upgrading the distro).

Hi OrangeCrate,

For extensions go here:

I just use Firefox Portable locally. This way i just pack it’s folder and restore it anytime i want with 2 clicks.

One of the wiser things… I’ve used this for a while.
Perfect except for the OS integration sometimes 8)

I don’t care much about that as i usually start everything from Firefox anyway, those few with hardcoded IE usage don’t bother me.

Hi RejZoR,

OK, I learned this one a long time ago. Only have my IE7 on my computer for download purposes all other browsers my PocketFlock and my personal Gran Paradiso FF 3.0 I launch from an USB stick, also my xB-Browser with Tor and Privoxy. And when something goes wrong there, I have a second USB stick with good working versions to be copied in a tick of time.
But just for the others to see what this puppy I mentioned does, go here:

Thanks.
