If I may. The whole point here IMHO is that Mastertech KEEPS coming to the forum here with his “facts” about Firefox comparing it to other browsers. I would tend to believe that maybe a one time posting of his opinions about firefox would be enough. No, he has to KEEP coming here to stir up trouble as he knows it will.
His credibility is zilch with me and I believe with most members here. I wouldn’t believe anything he posted if he were the only other member here posting. That is my opinion which is my right to have. What I think would be best in this scenario is we all just don’t respond to any of his “rantings”, let him wallow in his so called superiority. What goes around eventually comes around. This is MY opinion and not from Jarmo or anyone else.
The whole point here is firefox facts.
It has nothing to do with Mastertechs or any one elses credibility. IMHO

It does have to do with the fact that Mastertech KEEPS coming back to the forum and goes over and over the same thing about Firefox. Doesn’t he think that people have the ability to read about something they might be interested in without continually stating what he does about one particular browser? This is what I am talking about. You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all the people all of the time. He needs to realize this and cease and desist his sensless and repetitive posts about Firefox.
I choose to use whatever browser I think is best suited for MY purposes. This is more than likely the way all of the members here use a browser. You posted the facts link about Firefox, good for you, I appreciate it. That should be all thats needed for people to form an opinion without Mastertech interviening.

Kindly look at the title of this thread.
Is any ones name mentioned? Since it isn’t, this thread has nothing to do with personal conflicts.
A thread with that subject could always be started. (It might not last very long)
This thread simply passed along some information which I thought might be of interst.
It offered no opinions or suggestions.
If what I said wasn’t so threatening to you and the few others here who feel compelled to consistently bash me personally you wouldn’t post any comments about me. I will and can post whatever comments I wish about anything and YOU nor any member outside of the moderators have any control over that. The point that I consistently post to debate facts not persons and you and the few others focus on the latter only demonstrates how scared you are of me posting.
I will post what I feel needs to be said every and anytime I feel like it. I make up my OWN mind and will always help people make up theirs. Stay tuned.
Now Bob has asked that this stay on topic so please get off ME and back to the topic.

Due to Mozilla Firefox's quick rise in popularity, it has become the subject of much praise and criticism. Somewhere in the midst of it all, some misconceptions have popped up here and there. This article will address some false claims discovered in the public and media regarding the Firefox web browser. Some claims below are partially true, partially false. In these cases, this article will attempt to put the situation into better perspective.

Most of the other posts since then have simply been personal conflicts.

Guys - stop this. I’ve at least twice deleted Mastertech’s trolling and you’re still feeding him.
My personal view: Since all serious security problems in MSIE were ActiveX and other browsers don’t contain such atrocity, they are much more secure.
Regarding non-security things (ie. features, standards), MSIE 6 can’t compare to FF/Moz/Opera at all. It’s a piece of history.
I won’t close this thread, but I specifically ask Mastertech and Frank not to fight here. Otherwise I’ll delete this thread and give few ban(ana)s. >:(
kubecj … thanks for your post.
I, for one, do not want a (ban)ana! 8)
Charley, I highly doubt that you where on his list of (ban)ana giveaways… ;D ;D ;D

Hi tednelly,
This situation is going to go on, because alternate browsers are not on an equal footing to the Windows OS then IE is, because Microsoft is not allowing them. That is the "benefit"of an integrated browser solution. What we have here is a compatibility problem, which cannot be blamed on FF. Some browsers have tackled these problems better then others.
It is my personal experience that when I start the FF browsers from a seperate partition like a flash disk (mem stick), it does not crash, and it does not have the mem problems. The Flock browser is even better in these respects. API problems. This was the backlash for Netscape, and this reason made IE the browser of choice in MS’s opinion.

:o Wait a minute you are blaming the instability problems of Firefox on IE being integrated. : Firefox has stability problems because of poor coding. It has nothing to do with Microsoft.
Mastertech,
Do not twist my words, please. No I am generally speaking of all alternate browsers compared to Internet Explorer equaling more or less Windows Explorer. Why do you think that the Internet Explorer browser was built into the OS to be an integral part of the OS, just exactly to win the browser war. I state that alernate browsers are not at par with IE, and that situation is to continue.
On the other hand in some respects these browsers were more secure and innovative. The FF mem problem is basically that. IE mem consumption is half that of FF. Then another fact is that alternate browsers have a smaller platform and less malware vector addressed against, but that is relative security.

What you said was pretty clear to me.
