Firefox in Sandbox - Audiodg.exe causes Firefox crash

Hi,

i want to always use Firefox in the sandbox because of security reason. But when i want to watch videos on youtube, firefox crashes all the time. I did take a look at the avast center and can see that avast always try to move audiodg.exe into the sandbox. When this happens, firefox crash.

I use the most reasoned version of Avast and firefox, also updated all drives and the flashplayer. Nothing can help prevent these crashes. Also the reinstall of all tools (Avast, FF and Flash) didnt help.

Can you please check why this happend all the time? Can you please add an option to exclude files from beeing auto sandboxed? Nothing worked so far on all PCs where i use avast

My multi PC licence i runnning for approx. 60 more days, when the problem is not fixed until then, i wont resubscribe and have to use another security suite.

Thanks for your quick help!

best regards
Chris

Still no answer, still the same problem.

I did find an option to disable the AutoSandbox, i also did add the audiodg.exe in all exception/exclusion lists an all different security modules, still the same problem.

Need an answer asap.

Thanks!

Chris

Hi Malakay,

As you seem to know what is causing this and you know you can trust Audiog.exe, why don’t you exclude this from the sandboxing,
see for an example how to do that here: http://support.timedoctor.com/entries/21436057-How-to-exclude-Time-Doctor-from-Avast-s-Sandbox (credits to support and feedback area). A reason could be high CPU use of Audiodg.exe, which can be tackled as described here:

I already excluded it from the autosandbox, but Avast ignores my exclusion

Something is wrong with the sandbox and hopefully a dev will see this and answer soon.
