personally,i use firefox 7 99% of the time,1% chrome, and almost never internet explorer.
unfortunately, chrome is gaining market share on firefox’s expense; although ie still holds first place in market share,i do believe chrome and ff will replace it as leaders, and it will move to third or fourth place in the next few years.lets just hope it will be ff in the lead rather than chrome.
I prefer chrome, im not sure why but ff crashed a lot on me, though this was back in 3.6 times.
I havent had any problems with chrome and i like how its ui is set up(though nowadays it seems all the browsers are following in chromes footsteps in the terms of ui).
Same here, Chrome on the XP machine only because I can’t get IE9. IE9 on both the Vista and Win7 machines. Firefox is just not an option. Neither Chrome nor IE crash on any of the 3 computers.
Being that iv got win7 so IE9 is my choice for the added speed, more options and better security levels than previous versions, plus it intergrates into the system with less issues than other browsers imo ( i never get IE9 crashes )
you could be right,i have all addons disabled now except 3,i’ll see how it goes; although nothing can replace ff.
i definitely didnt expect so many people to be ie fans, its the least customizable and configurable, not to mention probably least safe/secure ;D
sorry ie fans.
I wouldn’t say least secure…but simply that it is preinstalled on every windows machine, and very often is left out of date (how many times do we see people saying that they have ie 6, or similar because they feel that they don’t need to update it as they don’t use it.
Being preinstalled on all windows machines makes it an irresistible target for anybody. It would be stupid not to target it…
I hardly ever use IE 9 however, it’s as safe as any of the others. As David already mentioned,
the attempt to exploit it is probably greater but that doesn’t change it’s current security rating.
I use Firefox because they offer built in “security” which Chrome lacks…ie; anti-pfishing and web forgery protection for starters. Firefox will warn a user if you accidentally enter “an attack website”. Chrome does not. Give me Firefox any day.
finally,a fellow firefox fan,are you sure chrome lacks in those security features?
and lets not forget 1 of firefox’s most attractive qualities, its customizability and configurability, chrome doesnt even come close in this area, and ie is even behind chrome.
my browser has progressive got slower as I upgrade from 4.1 firefox to my last upgrade of 8.3 and today went back to 4.1 and now things are fast again as they wants were. dont know why things kept on getting slower as I have the same programs running in each version . Only use Chrome as a backup.
Sorry Bob, but after going to an attack site which FF blocked I went to the same exact site using Chrome and Chrome never even blinked. The page loaded normally using Chrome. I trust Firefox more than Chrome. Just because it has the “Google” brand doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s a good thing. In my opinion.
