Hi, I have seen a few posts on this - but I have not been able to find a workaround.
If I go to Settings / Passwords and under browser integration it says for Firefox “Extension not installed”.
I hit the install button it loads the plugin installer in Firefox, I allow it to run and then it tells me it has successfully installed.
Back on Avast screen it still says “Extension not installed” and there is no Passwords icon in Firefox browser.
If I look at my add ons screen in Firefox it says that passwords is installed though so really not sure what’s going on.
By way of a test I installed Chrome and the extension installed with no issues at all…any ideas?
Thanks,
Luke

Hi thanks for your reply.
The workaround produces the same result - it says it has successfully installed onto my browser, but there is nothing there and Avast doesn’t recognise.

I have attached screenshots of the add-in section on Firefox and Avast screen.
If the Chrome workaround does not solve the problem, you could try this:
Uninstall Firefox (back up bookmarks first)
Reinstall a version of Firefox that Avast recognizes (version 52.0.1 is reported to work)
https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/
Install Avast Passwords via the standard procedure (Privacy → Passwords)
Test to make sure it works
Update Firefox to the latest version
