No, it is not useless, you just don’t understand what it is, what is does, how it works.
I know what CyberCapture is, but as I said “in my case” is useless.
So far I only had FPs, because Avast database is too slow for me because I am quickly installing or updating new versions of safe programs.
And Eddy please ignore my posts in the future.
I don’t know what the issue is. Are you pointing out that it takes a long time? Or that a trusted app was blocked by CyberCapture? Or is there something else I am missing?
Honzaz,I think he is upset about the fact that cybercapture keeps picking up on the software he is using.
I have seen cybercapture detect some dropped ransom malware by js:downloaders so no cybercapture is very good and a neat feature for the current threat landscape atleast.
What does “keep picking” means though? Do you mean it triggers CyberCapture and you have to wait, or that CyberCapture actually tells you that the file is malicious (false positive)?
Yeah the fact it triggers cybercapture and he has to wait,I have checked the file and i haven’t recieved a alert from CC on it
But this is actually what the OP got:

This seems to be the fault of the devs the application is not digitally signed and even smart screen filter doesn’t like it.
Although Cybercapture sometimes give a false positive, I don’t see why it would be useless at all.
Better a false positive now and then, then missing things and having a infected system.
And submitting a false positive to avast is real easy and is being handled real fast in my experience.
