I upgraded my Galaxy S3 to Android 4.3 while I had Avast! installed. Everything seems to have come over just fine except for the firewall. For some reason it now blocks everything despite having the same settings as before. Ideas?
At the first please try to reset all rules and restart the application (force stop and start again); if this action will not have any effect, please try to check the FW log, if anything bad happened there. Also, if you are using any other application(s) which may interfere with TCP/IP stack, try to disable them first. Off course SecDroid could have an effect - I will look at it. Thanks for reporting to us, please come back with more news.
Have already reset the application and re-did all my rules. Also uninstalled and reinstalled. Firewall log shows connections when it’s enabled, but when disabled and things don’t work nothing is logged.
Can you please advise OS type, kernel version and in case you changed the ROM the type&version of the ROM. Also could be nice to have a information about iptables; you can find it out via adb (adb shell iptables --list) - off course the firewall must be on. Do you have the SecDroid installed or not? Thanks
I am using Android 4.3 - the official Open Europe firmware version I9300XXUGMK6.
This occurred with the original kernel and with various others I tried afterwards.
Attached find iptables log as requested.
I have SecDroid installed.
