Firewall blocks connect to MS Wireless Display Adapter

Since my upgrade to Avast Internet Security I can’t connect to my MS Wireless Display Adapter anymore.
Proven by temporarily switching off the firewall in Avast Internet Security and then connecting works fine just as it did with Win 10 standard firewall settings.

TIA,
nox

Set the Avast Firewall to private mode and reboot.

Thank you, I first had to learn the connection to change but now it’s working.

You’re welcome.

Hi, I have exactly the same problem. I have set the wireless adapter betwork to Private in Firewall Settings and rebooted, hoever the wireless adapter will still not connect. If I turn the Firewall off, no problems.

Thanks, Moss

Any previous used AV is removed using removal tool ? https://support.avast.com/en-eu/article/Uninstall-other-antivirus

Have you tried repair and reboot ? https://support.avast.com/en-eu/article/Repair-Antivirus

Hi, It is a new laptop, no other anti-virus. I did have Spybot but have unistalled that. Then I did an Avast Repair as you suggested. Still doesn’t connect. I used the free version of Avast for a week and had no problems, then upgraded to Premium Security and that’s when the problem started. As I said, if I disable the firewall, connects fine.
Appreciate your help, thanks muchly.
