Firewall does not start

Hi all,

I own “Avast Internet Security 2015”. Yesterday I received a message that my trail version would expire??? I uninstalled and installed Avast again, applied my licence key but even after several reboots I still get the error message: The avast! Firewall service failed to start due to the following error: The system cannot find the path specified. eventid 7000.
How can I solve this? Another uninstall/install?

Hi Ivo, welcome to the forum

Try a clean install :

Download the Avast Uninstall Utility to your desktop.
Download Avast Internet Security

Disconnect from the internet.
Uninstall Avast Internet Security via control panel.

Run the Uninstall Utility and accept the reboot to safe mode.
Once complete reboot your system.
Reinstall Avast Internet Security.
