For some reason, Avast Firewall likes telling me about Firewall Mode Changes with a pop-up. I have a PC with a single wired connection, it connects to the Internet via my server, and the server’s firewall rarely changes. I really don’t need to be notified of “network changes” on this computer, ever. Is there a way to disable this notification? Thanks!

Avast - Firewall - Settings - Network profiles - uncheck " Show notifications for automatic profile switching ".

Ahh, okay. I had that feature disabled with the previous version(s) of Avast. When it upgraded recently, it clearly turned that back on again. Ick. Is there a persistency bug with Avast? Where it either forgets your settings after upgrade, or intentionally sets them to defaults during this process? It’s a bit annoying, if so. This isn’t the first setting I’ve seen revert…
Settngs should be preserved, and I am not aware of such a bug at the moment.
But related to the Firewall I know recently some changes took place, and they are still fine tuning it :
