I purchase the last version of Avast 5.0.377. My OS is Windows7 and on my program I cannot activate the firewall. Can some one tell me what to do to solve this problem?

so you just purchased Avast Internet Security right ? what do you mean by you cannot activate the firewall, do you see it’s turned off and you can’t turn it on ? can you send a screen shot ?
AVAST 5 works fine with my computer! it even made my computer faster! im happy with avast 5! GREAT JOB!

Like I said, after installation, the firewall does not activate, all other items works well. I press on the activate button of the fire wall and nothing happens. I tried to desactivated the windows firewall, that did not work. Tell me how to send a screen shot.

Tell us, are you using avast 5 Free, Pro, or avast internet security ?
You might also try a repair of avast.
To do a repair of avast :
Control panel > Add/remove programs > click once on avast to select it > click on Change/Remove > scroll down the left pane and click on repair > click OK> follow directions

Actualy I purchase the version 5 internet security. The reason for that is that I had a problem of a program connecting to internet. My son wanted to help me last week-end while I was away, decided to reformat my computer. Has you expect he did not save noting and all of my data was lost. I reinstalled the same program that I aquiered and it works well, but I dont have my licence anymore. I’m on the trial version. Can you tell me how can I get my licence?

Try sending an email to … sales@avast.com … and ask for help while explaining the situation of your computer having been reformated. It would be best to also include the email address used when originally getting the license if it is different than the current email address.
Let us know how it goes with that.
