I am a technician posting on behalf of a client who purchased Avast Suite on his own for his home computer’s protection.
The install seems to be incomplete since the Avast firewall refuses to activate whether the Windows Firewall is active or not. Should I uninstall and reinstall Avast or will that invalidate the license that he has installed?
Have any previous installed AV been fully removed ?
was a removal tool used to remove any leftovers ?

You can first attempt a repair from the change option in the “uninstaller” menu, then reboot.If it still doesn’t work, the only way out is to uninstall AIS (the suite) completely using the normal unistaller, reboot, and re-install.
