Firewall Rules help

Hello,
I have been using Avast! Internet Security for a little over a year now with no problems. Recently I purchased a program called synergy. It basically allows me to use my mouse cursor and keyboard across different computers. The program sets my desktop up as a server and that happens no problem. When my laptop tries to connect though the Avast! firewall always blocks the program. Turning the firewall off allows my laptop to connect. So I then tried to allow all connection coming in from the program. After my laptop still couldn’t connect I checked the firewall log and it shows that it is still blocking the program. I have done everything I know to do but I have no clue why it keeps blocking even though I explicitly told it to allow all connections. Here are some details on what the firewall is blocking.

Remote address:
(IP of my laptop)

Remote port:
Every try it seems to increase by one on every failed attempt to connect.

local port:
24800

Protocol:
TCP

Direction:
IN

Application:
(System path for the program that is installed)

Rule:
Public/High Risk Zone

I should note that I live in an apartment. My desktop is connected through a wired connection. My laptop is on the apartment wifi. The network is set up so each has a different IP address. I don’t know if this is an issue but thought I should mention it.

Any help is appreciated!

@eddy Thanks but that isn’t what I am talking about. Here is the link to the program I am having troubles with. http://symless.com/synergy/

@ Asyn I checked that help page before but as you can see in the picture the program has all connections allowed. When I go to the firewall logs it shows the report I gave in the original post. When I click show program from the log it takes me to synergyys.exe even though the ports I need both inbound and outbound are open. I have tried to edit the packet rules to allow all connection types both in and out but it still blocks the program.
