Firewall rules - reflect the "All" selection on each app

When rules are imposed under “All” section, please make that rule showing on every app down the list. In other words have the corresponding button on each and every app reflect the rule set by “All”. It may sound unnecessary or redundant but it’s NOT as this may be necessary when various exceptions (per app) are desired - otherwise each and every app in the list is to be selected manually, by-passing the “All” rule (quite a pain in a long list of apps).

Let me give an example. If I want:

  • all applications to be allowed on WiFi and
  • all applications to be blocked on roaming and
  • all applications to be blocked on 3G with some exceptions (probably the best example would be the messaging app if MMS is to be allowed. Although mobile data is not used if WiFi connection is present, a multimedia message cannot be downloaded unless the 3G connection is enabled.) and
  • some apps to be denied from using ANY internet connection (including WiFi).

…this commonly used 4-condition-rule cannot be currently enforced ONLY by using the “All”. Instead (regardless of which method is used, whether white list or black list), on one column, the rules are to be set individually on each and every app in the list. >:(

Thanks

+1 Better selection of apps is necessary.
Even an “invert selection” if you change from black to white list.

What I really want to see is a notification on each app installation about the firewall rules, like the Windows version on “Ask” mode.
