yeah that’s minor, stopping and restarting it lead to Windows Action center popping up an alert that it’s still turned off. Only way to fix that is a reboot (minor because it’s just a communication issue between avast firewall and windows when the firewall actually runs again)
For now, you could just reset the repository…wouldn’t that prevent a reboot?
Or if you do it a lot there is Fixwin that resets it without all of the steps…(vista/seven)

Yeah, that’s why I suggested fixwin, saves all the hassle of resetting the repository if it happens often…
I got a backup of the WMI repos just in case…of a real disaster. Never saw that happen so far, and again, the bug is too minor, but thanks for suggesting fixwin
