Hello-I am conflicted here–I have both Avast premier and windows firewalls turned on. System is Vista home premium and I also use avast vpn. The computer hangs from time to time when using the above configuration so I am wondering if there is conflict with the firewall/vpn or firewall/firewall combination. Any guidance on this would be helpful. Thank you, anyone.
Whilst I don’t run the avast firewall, I have a 3rd party firewall Outpost Firewall Pro, so my OS firewall is disabled, the same should be true for the avast firewall.
You don’t need to run the Vista firewall with the avast firewall running.
Vista doesn’t have outbound protection, where the avast firewall does.
