Please follow these steps

Download Anti VBS/VBE to your desktop

[]download the appropriate version (32 bit or 64 bit) and double click the file to run it.
[]After a couple of seconds (might also take a whole minute if the machine is heavily infected and/or slow) a report will open in Notepad.
[*]Post that report

Be aware this is a very new programme and as such is not recognised by any Antivirus or Windows, it is safe so allow it to run

THEN

Download the attached fixlist.txt to the same location as FRST
Run FRST and press FIX

Post the log that shows on completion

OK lets now try and determine how you got this… Do you use USB/SD drives to transfer data/pictures etc

Download MCShield to your desktop and install
It will initially run a scan and show the result as a toaster by the system clock
Then in the control centre select scanner and tick unhide items on flash drives

Plug in the drive and McShield will start a scan

Then get the log which will be here :

Start > all programs > MCShield > logs > all scans

And post that

Download OTL to your Desktop

[*]Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.

[*]Click the Run Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
[*]When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
[*]Attach both logs

done! here are the files , but no notepad opened called Extras.txt ! i made this scan twice…

=> Malicious files : 76/76 deleted. => Hidden folders : 18/18 unhidden. => Hidden files : 59/59 unhidden.
The USB was heavily infected, but is now clean :)

That looks a lot better, how is the computer behaving now ?

Thank you so much!!! , i think it works good , there were just some files in USB that were still shortcuts , i just deleted them normally.
something else i want to know , is there any way to clean up the files that were malware , because i see some unknown files , they are clean but the sign is still there , i don’t recognize all of them because i’m not expert but i know one of them like chatzoom! the file still exists but it’s not active as malware anymore !, i think i have a lot of them!
how to clean these files? both on USB and laptop

Lets go for an adware cleanup then :slight_smile:

Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your desktop.

[*]Close all open programs and internet browsers.
[*]Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.
[*]Click on Scan.
[*]After the scan is complete click on “Clean”
[*]Confirm each time with Ok.
[*]Your computer will be rebooted automatically. A text file will open after the restart.
[*]Please post the content of that logfile with your next answer.
[*]You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[S1].txt as well.

THEN

Please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.

[]Right-mouse click JRT.exe and select “Run as Administrator” the tool will open and start scanning your system
[]please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system’s specifications
[]On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
[]post the contents of JRT.txt into your next message.

by the way , on my drive C i still have a file which is called strange which contains an application “mrtsub” is it a malware? and on my usb drive some strange files still exists, how can i remove them as well.

Not to worry, that is part of MS update, which included the malicious software removal tool. Definitely not a problem

Was the USB drive scanned with MCShield ? If so then you can delete them if not required

The tools are regularly updated so download them as required, apart from MCShield keep that

I will remove my tools now and give some recommendations, but, I would like you to run for 24 hours or so and come back if you have any problems

Now the best part of the day ----- Your log now appears clean :thumbsup:

A good workman always cleans up after himself so…The following will implement some cleanup procedures as well as reset System Restore points:

Run AdwCleaner and press uninstall

Delete JRT from the desktop

Run OTL and hit the cleanup button. It will remove all the programmes we have used plus itself.

Clear Restore Points

Go Start > All Programmes > Accessories > System tools
Right click Disc Cleanup and select run as administrator
When it pops up at the first prompt select OK after it has done some calculations the tabs will appear
Select More Options tab
Press Sytem Restore and Shadow Copies Cleanup button

: Keep Java Updated :

WARNING: Java is the #1 exploited program at this time. The Department of Homeland Security recommends that computer users disable Java
See this article and this article.
I would recommend that you completely uninstall Java unless you need it to run an important software.
In that instance I would recommend that you disable Java in your browsers until you need it for that software and then enable it. (See How to diasble Java in your web browser and How to unplug Java from the browser)

Now that you are clean, to help protect your computer in the future I recommend that you get the following free programmes:

CryptoPrevent install this programme to lock down and prevent crypto ransome ware
