I noticed I seem to be having problems with Web Shield and my firewall. I have set up windows firewall to block all connections except those listed on the public profile. And hence the web shield would get blocked too, which in turn would block all http access.
I solved the problem by adding AvastSvc.exe to the outbound rules. I am hoping for a confirmation whether this rule is good enough.
Just a suggestion but I think, Avast should probably add this exclusion to all profiles itself when it installs.
Other than that, loving every bit of avast as usual.;D Great job Avast! 8)
