Anyone else having the same problem? Please Note that my E-mail Address tied to my Avast Account is tied to an Expired Domain Name so please do NOT send me E-mail. Reply to this post instead. Update: The issue appears to be Fixed now as I am now at 160901-8!
And why do you think it is wrong ?
VPS updates are not released on fixed times.
That link is showing current VPS version is 25.08.2016 - 160825-1. It will likely catch up later today. Sometimes a VPS server gets out of sync. The streaming updates are still coming down steady. FWIW, AMS for android has VPS downloaded of 160825-0.
When I checked (about 15 minutes ago) the last version mentioned was 24.08.2016 - 160824-0
Looks like the latest VPS is rolled out now.
Things change. One would have to sit on the servers to keep up. This latest VPS is not on the server that my AIS is accessing. I just tried to force a manual VPS update via the AvastUI with no luck. All in good time.
Why not logon to your my.avast.com account and add a new email address to your account (one that isn’t expired), once you have done that it needs validation. Now you should be able to change your default email address to the new valid one.
Normally people only reply in the forums, not by email. Depending on your forum settings you may get sent a confirmation of a reply to your post/topic. You obviously wouldn’t receive that even if enabled as it wouldn’t be going to an active email address.
My Avast Purchase Account does have a Valid E-mail Account 4 the Avast Store Only! It however has no Password assigned to the Purchase, so as a Result I am using my Face Book Account to login to forum.avast.com.
Could somebody provide me with the Manual .VPS Update Links? Thanks in Advance.
Do you have a my.avast.com account ?
I don’t know at what point that is created, but you actually have to assign your installed avast version to your my.avast.com account even if it is using your facebook account logon.
Excuse me Sir but My.Avast.Com is NOT working correctly as I am currently using Windows 10 Red Stone Build 14905 (I am in the Windows Insider Preview Program) which means that I am using Microsoft Edge Build 14905 which is some what unstable at the moment! I had to sign in twice to this website before it would accept my login is one example of how this Build acts up!
I should also note that my Avast Account (the one linked to my.avast.com) is tied to User Name KEVPAN8152 in the Avast Forums.
Link opens up www.google.com on my laptop.
Update: I am now at 08/26/2016-1. It does NOT even show up om http://www.avast.com/virus-update-history
That may be the case, but once logged in to your my.avast.com account, it shouldn’t stop you adding a new valid email address, then validating that. Now you can change the new email address to the default email address and you no longer have the old domain name email address.
I to am on this VPS version, it isn’t unusual to see a new VPS version before the web page is updated.
David R. the my.avast.com website is so unstable that it goes into a constant reload cycle just as soon as you try to make any changes on the Website! Just FYI!
Well I don’t use win10 or the Edge browser, so I can’t test that.
What happens if you use a different browser as edge is far from perfect right now.
You could also try disabling the avast online security extension if that even works in Edge. Or try disabling the web shield whilst you try to connect/logon to it.
David R. right now the my.avast.com website is completely down to Face Book logins, so trying a different web browser is complexly hope less right now.
By the way Avast jumped from 08/26/2016-1 to 08/26/2016-5 in one update so there still problems with the update process Just FYI.
I don’t think this is a problem, you can see there are some jumped updates (ex. 160809-0 to 160809-7) on https://www.avast.com/virus-update-history
