Flyff BSOD caused by Avast

Hi guys,
My problem is that avast seems to be killing a process when I launch flyff.
I can load up the launcher, but when the game actually starts I get a BSOD with the code 0x00000f4 “A process or thread crucial to system operation has unexpectedly exited or been terminated.”
I have added the path to the game to the exclusions list on both the file system shield and the one in general settings which worked until I restarted my computer, then the problem came back.

Genuinely confused as to why this is happening, and I know its Avast because when I unistall it the game works fine :frowning:

I’m running windows 7 x64 with Avast Free 7.0.1456

Help me out guys

Create zip file and add mini/full dump files, send ZIP file to Avast team/lab via FTP. (don,t forget to rename ZIP file with unique name-your nick avast BSOD…)

Code: [Select]
ftp://ftp.avast.com/incoming/

FTP program= http://filehippo.com/download_filezilla/

Where do I find this dump file?

This is a consistently reproductible error, and has been happening to a wide variety of FlyFF players.

There seems to be no solution sans uninstalling Avast 7.

Avast 6 does not produce this error.

I have added 3 minidumps to the FTP for inspection. My shields were off every time the BSOD occured, regardless if i set an exception or not.

I’d rather keep my version 7 than downgrade or uninstall completely.

→ \windows\minidump

1:
Minidump file(s)=Start-My Computer Local drive (C)-Windows-MiniDump
Fulldump file(s)=Start-My Computer Local drive (C)-Windows(and look for fille called Memory)

2:
Open Avast-Maintenance-Support-Generate SupportPackage(select all lines) and press Generate Now. Rename zip file with unique name (your nickname BSOD error version of Avast (free, pro, ais)) and send it to Avast team/lab via FTP. (Reply 1)

PS:Don,t forget to post your comment here on Avast forum after you send zip file to Avast (Sent to Avast)

Hi!
Try to disable behavior shield or other shields, if it helps. Please let me know, if it helps.

Disabling shields does not help.

This doesn’t work :frowning:
I just uploaded my zipped file now.

Also I managed to find the problem report generated by Windows.

How long does it usually take for a response from avast when you’ve uploaded the file?

A while, by the looks of it. Guess that’s what you get for a free service.

Posting again as issue is still not resolved and is being buried under less critical issues.
