If that isn’t hardware related, then that’s pretty cool! Sorry to the OP though.

In all seriousness though, if you can see your computer’s screen while you boot up (for example the POST screen, and/or the windows startup menu by pressing F8) then it’s quite possible that you just set the resolution of your monitor to something that it couldn’t handle.

I’ve had this happen to me on an older LCD screen.

Or MAYBE a virus, but I’ve never seen one like that before.

If you can’t see the POST screen or anything else, then I think the inverter or LCD is just busted.
