My thumbdrive contains all my important documents from two years ago but today when I tried to open it in my laptop, I couldn’t open my files. Avast sent them (i supposed my files are infected) to virus chest. After viewing similar problems online and tried the suggested solutions be it extracting the files or download Mcshield. I still couldn’t retrieve my files back. For extracting by right clicking, i was told that the file couldn’t be found. McShield scanned and said my thumbdrive is clean. But where have all my files gone to…? Helpppp~ Is there any kind soul out there to help me with this? Urgent urgent.

Ohmy, some of the recent files are still missing! Any help? :/TwinHeadedEagle will be online later and continue...... when done he will remove the tools used...
Your PC is clean. You said that they appeared, and now they are missing again. What did you do? Did you used USB on other computer?
No I didn’t. The folders were all present when I checked (I assumed everything were there) but I didn’t open the specific files. However, just now when I tried to open the folder and look for specific documents, I couldn’t find my files. For files saved in both this January and February were all gone, while the ones saved last year only some still exist. . .
Did you re-scan your flash again with MCShield? Did you check within Avast quarantine?
When I insert the thumbdrive , McShield stated malware not detected. What is Avast quarantine? What and how do I about it? Thanks…
Here you can see how to access Avast Virus Chest.
