well, the thing is that i’ve followed the instruction that you gave to another user with this rootkit. i was stuck at what OTS was. now i know. but my log is different from that user.that’s why i need so much that you could take a luck. after using all sort of methods… hiren’s boot cd, spotmau suite, lots of kinds of antivir, anti spyware, malware, etc… i cleaned that sptd.sys file with sophos anti rootkit and avast didn’t find the menace anymore.this is good i guess.my persisting problem is when i shut down the pc. when i turn it on it blocks. after that it beep and doesn’t boot anymore. if i restart it works just fine. but with the shut down option it bloks.doesn’t recognize the hard drive, only if i reset the CMOS(by removing the battery and/or taking off the bios jumpers).
The fix should only take a very short time. When the fix is completed a message box will popup telling you that it is finished. Click the Ok button and Notepad will open with a log of actions taken during the fix. Post that information back here
I will review the information when it comes back in.

Extra Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.
well, nothing now.but i’m afraid that if i turn off the pc with shutdown it won’t boot anymore. do you suggest that i format this hdd or try a wipe clean, because i think this virus/worm/malware/rootkit or what it is erases something(a file/or more) when i shutdown the pc.i’ve verified the cable, connectors, RAM’s, HDD,etc… another strange thing was when i’ve flash the bios (i have m2n asus motherboard), the old bios doesn’t seem to be erased completely, neither writing the new one. i think i’ve tried pretty much all to make it work. if you have any tips/suggestion for me… if not… thank you for your help for your time. maybe we can keep in touch… i don’t know what might cause this… what more i can try… now that it works and i can perform tests/scan.
it will not recognize the HDD, only if i reset CMOS memory… and reset the pc several times and after moving the SATA plug into different mobo’s connectors.i think that the “virus” is erasing some MBR file or something. that strange thing that i saw in ami bios utility flash was in the i386 directory appeared besides other files and directories Ntldrv, etc… “:)d”- a smiley with a letter… if i enter in this awkward dir the flies and directories were repeating and here again “:)w”… in the :)w directory another cloned files and directory with another smiley and letter on “:)x” and so on. if i want it to exit the :)x dir it would take back to the beginning and not back to the other letter (“:)w”). hope that u can understand… it might be something that rewrites itself. on the Avast quick scan if wanted to delete the sptd.sys file, it said that i have to reboot.and after that Avast prompted another 2 or 3 sptd.sys infections.if i wanted to move it to chest it said “error doesn’t support…” it relicates or it clones itself this rootkit/virus/code…
very interesting or i don’t know what to think about this or what else to try…
